Cookie Policy
Last updated: April 1, 2026
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device to remember information about your visit. They help us operate the Zerentry service, keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how our website is used so we can improve it.
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies Zerentry uses, why we use them, and the choices you have. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
2. Categories of Cookies We Use
We group the cookies we set (or that our sub-processors set on our behalf) into four categories:
- ·Strictly necessary — required for the site to work. These keep you signed in, maintain session state, and protect against cross-site request forgery. The service cannot function without them.
- ·Preferences — remember choices you make such as theme (light/dark) and language.
- ·Analytics — help us understand how visitors use the site in aggregate, so we can improve it. Where required by law, we only set these after you consent.
- ·Demo / sandbox — a short-lived cookie used only if you try the sandbox demo without an account.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell information collected via cookies.
3. Specific Cookies
| Set by | Purpose | Category |
|---|---|---|
| Clerk | Authentication and session management | Strictly necessary |
| Zerentry | CSRF protection, locale and theme preference | Strictly necessary / Preferences |
| Zerentry | Sandbox demo session | Demo / sandbox |
| Stripe | Fraud prevention during checkout | Strictly necessary |
| Vercel | Basic traffic analytics (aggregated, no cross-site tracking) | Analytics |
| Google Analytics (optional) | Usage analytics, only loaded where permitted | Analytics |
| PostHog (optional) | Product analytics, only loaded where permitted | Analytics |
| Microsoft Clarity (optional) | Session insights, only loaded where permitted | Analytics |
4. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
- ·Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies through their settings. See your browser's help pages for instructions.
- ·Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in and using Zerentry.
- ·You can opt out of Google Analytics using the official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
5. Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no industry-wide standard for handling these signals, so Zerentry does not currently respond to them. We limit our use of cookies to the categories described above regardless of the signal.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised.
7. Contact
If you have any questions about our use of cookies, contact us at contact@zerentry.com.
